Wool, Worn In

A man in a brown wool jacket and cream knit sits against a sunlit wall.

Wool earns its place because it can be worn hard and still look calm. A jacket in a dense wool holds a shoulder, keeps the wind out, and does not shine under a streetlight. It is the layer that makes the rest of the wardrobe easier.

We use it where structure matters: a coat, a jacket, a knit that keeps its shape after a season of wear. The colors stay in the same family as the shirts — cream, brown, charcoal — so a wool piece works over linen without a second decision.

A considered wardrobe is a short list of things you actually put on. Wool is on that list because it lasts, and because it looks better once it has been worn in.
